My Go To Summer Look : Tutorial

I don't know about you guys, but when it comes to summer time makeup, my process gets a lot more simplified. Since I live in a hot, humid area, I don't want to be spending a lot of time in a bathroom trying to get ready and I don't want my makeup to melt off my face the minute I step outside. To see my summer makeup and the products I use to get this look, keep reading!

Products

1) Make Up Forever (MUFE) Aqua Shadow in 20E
2) MAC Stolen Moment eye shadow (this was LE)
3) Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner
4) Mary Kay Lash Primer
5) Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara
6) Kat Von D Everlasting Face Shaper Blush in Belissima
7) NARS bronzer in Laguna
8) Real Techniques Shading Brush
9) Sephora Crease Brush
10) Sephora Blush Brush

and because I'm an idiot and forgot to number it: Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick in Pink Chérie

The only thing that changed in my skin routine is that in the summer I use Revlon ColorStay foundation for normal/oily skin in #150. It is a longwear foundation that gives great coverage (I break out like crazy in the summer), is still lightweight, and won't melt off your face.

Foundation routine done!

I skip primer when I wear MUFE aqua eyes products, so I just take the crayon and apply it directly to my eye. I then blend out the edge a bit with my Real Techniques brush.

I then take a small amount of Stolen Moment and apply it to my socket with the crease brush. This just adds a bit a depth without being dramatic.

I tend to stay away from winged liner in the summer since I tend to sweat and rub that part of my face, so I stick to a simplistic eyeliner shape. I keep it thin toward the tear duct and make it a bit thicker on the outer portion of the lid.

Here are my bare lashes.

With the lash primer. I'm on the fence for the lash primer, but I've been using it recently so I wanted to show you guys. I think it's just clear mascara... which means that it just helps to separate your lashes (and hold curl if you curl your lashes) before mascara.

And mascara!

I then add blush to the apples of my cheeks and bronzer to contour a little bit and the tops of my cheeks.

And a swipe of a fairly neutral lip color.

And there you have it! All done. This routine takes me about 7 minutes in the mornings and lasts all day since most of the products are waterproof or longwear!
