One Product, Three Uses : Tutorial

Not very often do we have products in our arsenal that we use as multitaskers if that's not how they were marketed to us. I think a lot people know that they can use lipstick as a cream blush or use eyeshadow as a brow filler (I do this). You can coat your lashes with clear mascara to give them definition and then turn around and use that in your brows to keep them in place. Here's another product that can multitask with the best of them; keep reading!

Eyes

1) Tarte Creaseless 360 Primer
2) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
3) Stila Countless Color Pigments in Lyric
4) MAC Eye Shadow in Tempting
5) NYX Glossy Brown Eye Liner (from the Chocolate collection)
6) Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
7) Stila Palette (Kitten was used on the eyes and Espresso in my brows)

Face

1) Wet N Wild Fergie Collection To Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Gold
2) Too Face Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Tools

1) Missha Medium Base Brush
2) Sephora Crease Brush (I found this online and that's what Sephora calls it... so I'll go with it)
3) Sephora Blush Brush

And away we go!

As usual, here we are with just foundation. I switched it up this time and I used my Revlon Color Stay Whipped Foundation in #150 Buff. This is very similar texture wise to my Laura Mercier Silk Crème foundation, but the colors are very different. This has a tiny bit of a yellow base to it, but for the most part, it's really neutral whereas the Laura Mercier is very yellow.

Prime those lids!

Since I wanted my pink to show up very well, I applied Milk all over my lid and then blended it out with my finger. If you don't want to use your fingers, just use a synthetic brush to blend out the pencil.

I applied a fairly liberal coating of Lyric all over the lid. I didn't use just one shade, I mixed them all together for this look.

I took Tempting and applied that all throughout the crease and blended it out closer to the bridge of my nose. I really wanted to get some eye definition here and make my eyes look a bit deeper than they actually are.

I applied Kitten to the brow bone and inner corner and took the brown liner and applied it to the lash line.

And then blended that liner out.

I took Tempting and applied that on the outer corners of my lower lash line (and filled in my brows and gelled them, which is why they look wet!).

And mascara! I coated both top and bottom lashes for this look. I usually don't do the entire length of my bottom lashes because they're very long, but I wanted to go for kind of a doll look, so I coated them all.

I took my blush brush and swirled it in Lyric and applied it as a blush as well. Since it's a very girly pink color, it can work on the lids and the cheeks (and did bronzing and highlighting as well).

I applied lip balm (any old lip balm will do) and then patted Lyric on top of my lips as well. It just gives the lips a little punch of color and the lip balm will help keep your lips moisturized.

And there you have it, the completed look.

  1. Very nice result :) I don't often multitask my products except for highlighters, which I often double as eye shadow. I found your blog via the MUA subreddit by the way.

    1. I use my highlighters as eye shadows too! My favorite is to use Mary Lou Manizer as an eyeshadow. I'm so glad to see redditors here!
