A few more items from the goodies that J. Cat sent me, some shimmer powders! Now, I think that they're a bit better described as loose powder shadows, but I assume that they are all shimmery, hence the shimmer powder name. I got three shades to try out and I wanted to review them for you before I do a tutorial in a few days. Keep reading to find out more about these!

J. Cat Beauty : Lip Product Reviews
If you guys have not ever heard of J. Cat Beauty, I would not be surprised. They are a fairly new cosmetics company, but I'm thinking that they're going to end up making quite a big splash in the world of affordable cosmetics. I got in contact with them a few weeks ago and they were kind enough to send me* several of their products to try out and after having used them quite a few times, I feel like I can tell you guys about them. Keep reading to find out more about J. Cat's Fantabulous Lipsticks and Eternal Shine Lip Glazes.
p.s. I received a few other products from them as well and will be reviewing them in the next week!

Dermablend Professional Quick-Fix Concealer : Product Review
When I was a kid, I knew a woman who used Dermablend products to cover up a portwine stain she had on her face, so the brand has forever been associated in my head with extreme cover. I still think that to this day because Dermablend kind of prides themselves on their amazing coverage abilities (google Rick Genest Dermablend and you will see what I'm talking about). I saw this item in the Birchbox shop and decided to buy it because I've been in need of a concealer and I had some points to use up. Keep reading to find out what I think of this product.
Two mascaras : Regrets
I think that one of the best things about cosmetics companies and beauty subscription services is that they absolutely love to send out mascara samples. I have so many mascara samples that I will probably never have to buy mascara ever again. I love it because it gives you the opportunity to try out lots of different types of mascara and find the really really good ones. Unfortunately, these two mascaras are not ever going to enter my category of favorite mascaras and keep reading to find out why.

Revlon Items : Product Reviews
Ok, the snow that hit us here seriously screwed up me entire schedule and it looks like we're going to hit hard again tonight, but I'm better prepared for it this time! If this midwest gets hit with snow again, I promise that there won't be a huge lag in posts again. Since I had so much time to myself in the house, I got around to testing out a ton of new stuff, so I am going to have a lot of reviews. Some of the products that I've been testing are the new Revlon products. These aren't brand spanking new, they've been out for a few months, but I just got around to buying some of them. I have three products to review: Photoready BB Cream, Colorstay Ultimate Suede lipstick, and the Photoready Primer and Shadow kit. We have the good and the bad in this group, so keep reading to find out more!

L'Oréal Colour Riche Caresse : Product Review
You guys, this snow stuff is throwing everything off and I had to shovel... and go sledding. Anyway, back to posting! For the next product review of this week, we have a lipstick that I bought several months ago. I have used this many many times, so I feel fairly well qualified to tell you all about this lipstick. Keep reading to find out more!

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette : Product Review
I feel like it's been quite a while since I've done an honest to goodness product review, so I decided that this week I'll do several of them to catch you guys up on all the new products that I've been trying. I picked this palette up at the Sephora inside JC Penney because it happened to be on sale for $22 (regularly $36). I have the natural palette from Too Faced and I like that product quite a bit. I look at the sample of this and swatched it in the store and decided to pick it up. You've already seen some of these shades on my eyes, but keep reading for the review and the product swatches.

Day to Night Eyes : Tutorial
Well, this tutorial is going up a few days later than intended, but here it is. I wanted to look cute on Valentine's day but I didn't want to have to completely redo my makeup for later that night. Keep reading for how to transition from a day to night eye look.

Happy Booster Blush : First Impressions
A little bit of Valentine's Day fun! I bought this blush a few days ago and I thought it would be appropriate to tell you guys about it for Valentine's Day. It's covered in little hearts, what could be better! Keep reading for swatches and my first impressions on the blush.
NYFW Look : Tutorial
This is a look that is so incredibly simple but so incredibly edgy at the same time. The face is bare, the lips are neutral and the only thing that sets this look apart from a natural look is the bold, graphic liner at the top of the lid rather than the lash line. If you think that you're bold enough to rock this look, keep reading for the products I used and closer shots.

Cute Valentine's Day Makeup : Tutorial
So after some subdued date night makeup yesterday, I thought I would do something more comfortable and more makeup loving for today. As much as I profess disdain for Valentine's Day, I do enjoy all of the pink and red and hearts, because those are three things that I absolutely love. I decided to do an all pink look again, that is just a bit different and a little bit simpler than the previous pink look. Keep reading to find out how to get this look.

Easy Peasy Date Night Look : Tutorial
I think that I have a very different definition of date night makeup than most people do, but I usually think of it from a guy's perspective. I feel like guys are constantly complaining that girls are wearing too much makeup and they wish that they wouldn't, blah blah blah. Nine out of ten time, I would say that they can shove it and I'll wear what I want on my own face, but sometimes it's nice (I suppose...) to give in to what they want. That to me is what date makeup is, something simple that still looks great. So, if you're looking for vampy eyes and sexy red lips, that isn't this look. This look is very simple, very easy to achieve, and takes very few products. Keep reading to find out how to get it!
Schick Hyrdo Silk Razor : Real Talk
Do you guys remember a few weeks back when I told you that I am a bzz agent? Well, I got selected for another campaign and while it's not completely beauty related, it is still fairly beauty involved. I'm telling you about this because it's an item that I believe in and I think it's only fair to pass on good info about a good product. Bzz Agent sent me this item for free, but they are not providing me with any compensation for telling you about it; I've chosen to write about it on my own.
First of all, like a lot of stuff that I use on my skin, I'm incredibly picky about razors. Most razors irritate my skin because of certain items that exist in the moisturizing strip, so the first few times I use a razor, I get little bumps all over my legs. This is one of the few razors that does nothing of the sort, it just leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. I also dig this razor because it's really sharp and gives a close shave, but I've never cut myself with it. It has 5 blades, which I've always considered the number of blades in a razor to be a gimmick, but I'm starting to reconsider that notion. I've noticed with this that I don't need to change the blades as regularly as my other razors; I don't know if that's because of the extra blade or if the blades are just better quality, but either way, it's great. All in all, it's a great razor and it's not ludicrously expensive. What do you think, will you pick one up?

Sultry Eyes : Tutorial
Last week, my cousin sent me a photo and asked me if I thought that I could do a tutorial on it, so I decided it was a good time to dive in and try my hand at a request. The eye makeup in the photo (which I will show you after the jump), is very shimmery and very multidimensional. When I looked closely at the eyes, I could see a lot of different shades at work, so I'm going to warn you right now, that I used a lot of products to get this look. I used mostly high end products, but you can definitely do this look using drugstore makeup; I just used what I had available. Without further ado, hit the jump to see how to get this look.

Lip Service : Real Talk
If you've been following this blog over the past month, then you would have seen it written here that I have a huge love/hate relationship with lip gloss. I love lip products in general, but I absolutely hate gloss 90% of the time. There are certain glosses that I love, which I will mention here, but most of the time, I wear something tinted, mildly sheer, and with a bit of shine. If you like all of those aforementioned things, keep reading to find out about some great products.

Winged Liner : Tutorial
Winged liner, the ultimate when it comes to liquid liner. I love winged liner or the cat eye or whatever you would like to call it, but I know that a lot of people fear this look. It's actually fairly easy to achieve once you understand how to do it. This is a very quick tutorial on how to get the look, but remember to keep your own eye shape in mind when you're trying to go for this look. Keep reading to find out how to achieve this liner look.

Countouring : Tutorial
Contouring; I first found out about this idea when I was in elementary school and obsessed over the books by Kevyn Aucoin (look. these. up.). He broke down how to do contouring on your face and what products to use and made it very easy to understand. Unfortunately, I think that contouring has become better known because of the Kardashians and like most things that they get involved with, it's gotten a bad reputation. The Kardashians really take contouring to the next level and wear photoshoot contouring in their everyday lives. Keep reading to find out how to do contouring in your everyday life and how to maintain a natural look.

Face of the Day : February 1
Occasionally, and not very often, I will wake up and a makeup idea will come into my head and I have to execute it that day. This morning, I woke up with the color pink in my head and thought it would be fun to play with pink shadows. The color pink is often hard to wear around the eyes because it gives a really sickly appearance if the shade isn't right. I chose to go bold and just do pink all over. Click through to read about what products I used and more full look pictures.
